The warm and wonderful sound of the Glenn Miller Orchestra is synonymous with some of the most instantly recognisable and universally loved melodies of all time.
The SNJO will bring Glenn Miller’s unforgettable music to spirited life with genuine feeling and the deepest respect as they swing from Chattanooga to Pennsylvania via Tuxedo Junction and Kalamazoo in celebration of The Glenn Miller Sound.
Glenn Miller’s highly personable style of popular jazz was an instant hit with the public and his enduring music has become deeply embedded in the collective memory and undeniably loved by every generation. Even the very young, perhaps hearing it for the first time, fall for the irresistible charms of the Glenn Miller sound.
Now is your chance to hear deeply authentic performances of Glenn Miller’s music as the SNJO play 3 concerts in Scotland this November. SNJO director Tommy Smith is credited with meticulous attention to detail when it comes to recreating, if not enhancing, historic orchestral jazz and these concerts will be no exception.
We are delighted also to be working with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland as we welcome 5 of their students to provide the vocals for a few of the tracks.
