SNJO Board Recruitment

apply by 28 February 2024

The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra is committed to building a diverse and inclusive Board that reflects the richness of perspectives, experiences, and talents within our community. As a contemporary cultural institution dedicated to the celebration, preservation, and innovation of jazz music, we recognise the importance of diverse perspectives and knowledge in shaping our strategic direction and fostering creativity.

As a Trustee, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of jazz in Scotland and beyond. We are not just seeking someone with a passion for the Arts, but individuals who possess the skills and enthusiasm to help us continue to build a resilient and innovative future.

You do not need to have previous Board experience to apply and relevant training will be offered to new Trustees, along with a full Board induction.

WHAT’S INVOLVED

The Board of Trustees meets in person four times a year, alternating between Edinburgh and Glasgow, however, the option to join meetings online is permitted.

HOW TO APPLY

If you’re interested in joining our Board and believe that you could make a positive impact, we would really like to hear from you. Please contact Cat Gillespie at management@snjo.co.uk for more information or download our recruitment pack. Conversations with key personnel within the SNJO team or Board can also be arranged.

SELECTION

Applications will be shortlisted and potential trustees will then be invited to an interview.
