The Scottish National Youth Jazz Orchestra is thrilled to announce its 2025-26 season of high energy afternoon jazz. Stunning concerts that bring alive the sound and pzazz of a big band and pay tribute to legendary names.

It is over twenty years since the inception of the SNYJO, and in that time, the orchestra has been a platform for some of the most exciting young jazz musicians in the UK. Our present ensemble includes several award-winners and critically acclaimed individuals who have won recognition and approval from audiences and press alike.

The future for jazz in Scotland is assured as these gifted players play a repertoire from across the jazz era including music from jazz legends such as Ellington, Basie, and Gillespie and music from their latest CDs
