We’re absolutely delighted to introduce our new Friends scheme, designed to bring our wonderful supporters closer to the heart of everything we do. After three decades of creating extraordinary music and nurturing the next generation of jazz talent, we’re inviting you to become part of our extended family.
The importance of the SNJO to the cultural life of Scotland cannot be overstated, and we’re tremendously proud that the orchestra ranks as a world-class artistic ambassador for Scotland. We continue to provide wonderful opportunities for young musicians to develop all the skills and experience they need to become successful professional musicians through our Youth Orchestra programme.
What Does Friendship Look Like?
We’ve created three friendship tiers to suit different levels of engagement:
Standard Friend membership includes our annual recognition reception, bi-annual Friends Newsletter by post, advance digital concert programmes, and optional acknowledgement on our website and programmes.
Suite Friend membership adds exclusive invitations to one open rehearsal per year and special events where you can meet SNJO players.
Major Friend membership includes all Suite benefits plus access to our season launch reception, discounted tickets for selected concerts, and reduced costs for exclusive events with players.
Why Your Support Matters
Your friendship helps ensure we can continue our vital work supporting educational outreach, attracting world-class guest artists, and developing the next generation of Scottish jazz talent through SNYJO. Over the years, we’ve collaborated with jazz luminaries from Branford Marsalis to Jazzmeia Horn, from Maria Schneider to Courtney Pine, creating music that resonates far beyond Scotland’s borders.
Ready to join our musical family? Sign up for friendship membership and become part of the SNJO story. Because great jazz, like great friendships, are always better when shared.
